When I first established my studio in Switzerland I subscribed to the German photography magazine "Photographie". I'd hope to widen my knowledge of the European photography scene, get info on the latest gear etc. Over the course of many years I always found some useful information and discovered many interesting photographers. However every cover had a semi or fully nude woman as Title image.

I have nothing against naked women, actually I enjoy seeing women with and without clothes:-) However I felt that this was reducing photography to just one thing.

As an answer, I invited people to come to my studio for a portrait, with the condition that they leave the clothes they were wearing for a week. I would then photograph their clothes! The resulting images ( shot on film) were printed together on one sheet of paper, and were exhibited in my first exhibition in Switzerland. To seperate them from the background of this website I now added the black frame.
