Actually the inspiration for this series was a continuation of my "Seeing Signs" Project. Standing in the midst of political posters during a campaign here,
I sudenly thought once again about my friend who suffered from Paranoid Schizophrenia. Before his sickness became too advanced, he’d often draw my attention to signs that had secret messages for him.

I wondered what he would have thought about all these faces smiling at him.

And so arose the impulse to photograph these political posters
