"Going South: The Portraits"
I had always wanted to sit on a street corner with a sign and photograph
the people who came up to talk to me. Retired, I planned to go in 2015,
but then Donald Trump decided to run for President. Angered, I started
working for the Democrats Abroad, unfortunately he won anyway.
I decided to not only photograph people, but also interview them about
their lives and thoughts about his becoming President. I chose the
southern part of the US for it's climate, food, music, and the fact that
I had never really spent much time there.
In the course of
four months I photographed 135 people 45 of which are visible in my book
" Going South".
